Community Movie Night

Friday, May 3 at 6:30pm in the Sunday School Area

A movie suitable for young children will be shown in the Sunday School area, “The Jesus Revolution” rated PG.  

On Friday, May 3, at 6:30 p.m., we will be showing The Jesus Revolution (PG13).  The Jesus Revolution is the true story of one young hippie's quest for belonging and purpose that leads not only to peace, love, and rock and roll, but that sets into motion a new counterculture crusade-a Jesus Movement-changing the course of his life. This is the true story of a national spiritual awakening in the early 1970s and its origins within a community of teenage hippies in Southern California.
Families with younger kids. The Sunday School area will be manned and showing a movie rated G for any younger children who are attending with their families and need something more age appropriate.  Please click here to see the flyer for the event.

Community Tag Sale and Craft Fair

Saturday, May 11, 10:00am to 3:00pm at the First Church parking lot.  Rain Date: May 18. 

Have you done spring cleaning and wish you could have a tag sale, but you don't have a good location? Set up a tent in our parking lot in the center of town. Have a lot of stuff, rent 2 spaces.  Been working all winter making crafts? Here's your chance to sell them.  Click here to reserve a space.

Wings of Song: “Rough Seas, Safe Harbors” Concert and Dinner. 
Saturday, May 18 at 5:30pm in the Fellowship Hall and Sanctuary

The Music Committee is hosting a pre-concert dinner on May 18th at 5:30 p.m. The menu is baked haddock, baked potato, homemade coleslaw, Italian bread, and for dessert apricot squares with whipped cream. Tickets are available from Gail Pelletier, 267-4818 for $20.00. The deadline for reservations is Tuesday, May 14th. The Wings of Song concert is free at 7:30.

Main Street Tavern Fundraising Night

Thursday, May 23, 4:00 to 10:00pm at Main Street Tavern, 218 Main St., Monson

Once a month, First Church hosts a fundraising event at the Main Street Tavern, Monson. Members of the church welcome patrons. First Church receives 10% of the evening’s proceeds.  This months event is hosted by The Deacons.  The public is welcome to attend.

Fancy Friday Dance

Friday, May 31 in the Sunday School Area

First Church will be hosting a fancy Friday night dance.  Grades 4-6 are invited to attend from 6:00-7:30 p.m.  Grades 7-12 are invited to attend from 8:00-10:00 p.m.  The entry fee is $5.00.  We will be selling refreshments for $1.00 each.  All money raised will be donated to Youth United.  To volunteer or bake an item, please click here for the sign-up sheet.  Please click here to see the flyer for the event.
