Bible Study

Mondays, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in The Fellowship Hall.

After a short holiday break, Bible Study is back! We will return to the table for Bible Study on Monday, January 19th at 7 p.m. This year, as requested by you, the Bible Study crew, we will have continuous weekly Bible together. Click Here For More Info

Choir rehearsals for the adult choir

Thursdays, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. downstairs in the Sunday School area.

Choir Notes. We invite everyone who enjoys singing to join the First Church adult choir. The choir meets weekly on Thursdays from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. downstairs on the stage in the Sunday School area, beginning on January 8. We would love to add your voice. Male voices are particularly needed.

Sunday, February 15th, 8:00am to 9:30am In The Fellowship Hall

Our Let’s Eat breakfast is on the third Sunday of each month. Come enjoy a hearty breakfast from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. before worship. Donations are gratefully accepted but not required.  Click Here For More Info.

Ashes-To-Go

Ash Wednesday, February 18th, 7:00am to 9:00am At The First Church Parking Lot

On Ash Wednesday, Pastor Holly Norwick of First Church of Monson and Reverend Kristen White of Monson-Glendale United Methodist Church will be offering ashes at the parking lot of First Church of Monson.  All are welcome to receive ashes.  Begin your Lenten journey with us!

Nourish Body and Soul: Lenten Lunch

Saturday, February 21, 2026 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in The Fellowship Hall

Join members and friends of First Church for a simple community meal and prayer reflection on Saturday, February 21, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Soup choices include tomato/vegetable, lentil, and corn chowder. There will be a variety of breads and an assortment of homemade desserts available. A free will donation will be greatly appreciated. To help us plan quantities, please sign up in the Fellowship Room or email the Church Office@firstchurchmonson.org

Main Street Tavern Fundraising Night

Thursday, February 26th, 4:00 to 10:00pm at Main Street Tavern, 218 Main St., Monson

First Church will hold Main Street Tavern Nights in 2026. The Outreach Committee will host the tavern night on January 22  The Board of Trustees will host this night out. Thank you all who supported tavern nights in the past; please continue to enjoy food, beverages, and fellowship at the Main Street Tavern during 2026.​

Installation of Rev. Dr. Holly Norwick

SAVE THE DATE!!! Sunday, March 1, 2026 Installation of Rev. Dr. Holly Norwick as Pastor & Teacher of First Church Monson.  On that day, the Pastor Parish Relations Committee would like to include a slide show of all our church activities in the past year. If you have any pictures you would like to share, particularly those with Pastor Holly, please email them to David Wallace, bloomdido35@gmail.com. Add "Installation Pictures" in the memory line. Youth United at First Congregational Church of Monson

Wednesday, March 18th, See Times Below. 

Looking for a fun, faith-filled place to connect, grow, and belong? Youth United is a welcoming youth group open to everyone—no matter your background or church experience. You don’t have to belong to any church to join… just show up!

We typically gather one Wednesday evening each month, and the night is full of connection, conversation, and community

  • Youth United Jr. (Grades 5–6): 6:00–7:00 PM

  • Dinner for ALL ages: 7:00–7:30 PM

  • Youth United Sr. (Grades 7–12): 7:30–9:00 PM

St. Patrick's Day Dinner

Saturday, March 21st In The Fellowship Hall

Then the trustees will once again sponsor a delicious corned beef dinner, followed by a concert with Sarah, the Fiddler. Tickets are $25 for the dinner and concert and must be purchased by March 17. See Suzanne Kelley or call the church office to reserve your tickets. Admission to the concert only is $10, available at the door.
